Day 1 & 2: Arrival Day and Explore Arusha
Day 3: Tarangire Safari
Day 4: Serengeti Adventure
Day 5: Migration Magic in Southern Serengeti
Day 6: Ngorongoro Wonders in West Kilamanjaro
Day 7: Maasai Magic
Day 8: Farewell, Tanzania
After arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your safari guide will take you to your hotel in Arusha to relax and unwind. Known as the safari capital, Arusha is bursting with life, from colorful markets and local crafts to breathtaking views of Mount Meru. It’s the perfect launchpad for exploring Tanzania’s iconic parks and legendary landscapes.
Leave Arusha behind and head into Tarangire National Park, home to sprawling baobab trees and incredible wildlife. Spot elephants, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, and more as you enjoy thrilling game drives. Take in the sounds and sights of the African bush before heading to your lodge in Karatu.
Start your day in the farming village of Mto Wa Mbu, where you’ll meet the incredible Solar Sister women. Learn how they bring clean energy to rural homes and take part by distributing solar lights yourself.
From there, head into the Southern Serengeti, one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife regions alongside Kenya’s Masai Mara. This is the stage for the annual wildebeest migration, where over a million animals move across the plains, trailed by lions, elephants, giraffes, and more. It is a photographer’s dream, with opportunities for hot air balloon rides and cultural tours that bring you closer to the heritage of the Masai people.
Spend a full day in the Ndutu Plains of the Southern Serengeti, where you will witness the Great Migration. Being in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) you will be able to drive off-road - a great advantage for getting up close to Africa's large mammals! There is so much to see - witness the Great Migration giving birth to thousands of calves and the predators always searching for their next meal The Ndutu region forms part of the northern section of Ngorongoro Conservation Area and stretches to the unfenced southern reaches of the Serengeti National Park, a meeting point between these two incredible wilderness areas.
After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is alive with wildlife, from black rhinos and lions to giant tusker elephants. In the afternoon, continue on to West Kilimanjaro for a two-night stay with the Maasai.
Spend the day immersed in Maasai culture or simply relax and enjoy the beauty of this magical place. Take a morning nature walk through Maasailand, try your hand at spear-throwing, and end the evening with storytelling around the campfire. You’ll also have the chance to visit Africa Amini Alama’s schools and see the inspiring impact this project has on the community.
Spend your morning at leisure before transferring to Mama Jane in Arusha. Though this marks the conclusion of your Tanzanian safari, it is truly just the beginning — carrying with you unforgettable memories and the promise of adventures yet to come.
